I don’t remember much about my dream this morning except that my brother and I were to deliver something to the South Cemetery in Makati City. In my dream, the South Cemetery was located along J.P. Rizal Street. In reality, it’s located along Kalayaan Avenue running alongside J.P. Rizal.
Aside from the main gate, people enter and exit the South Cemetery by going over the wall along its perimeter. In my dream, my brother and I went through a hole in the wall.
This might seem a morbid dream to some but not me. After all, I used to work in a cemetery myself. It was back in 1992, when I worked for my uncle. Back then, he asked me to oversee the construction of his parents’ mausoleum in the North Cemetery in La Loma, Quezon City. I spent about three months in the North Cemetery and I’d since gotten used to walking the land of the dead.
By the way, that thing in my dream about going through a hole in a wall in the cemetery happened in real life too. It’s quite a long story, so I’ll just save that for another time.
