Continuing my celebrity motif, I dreamt about Mary-Kate and Ashley this morning. It's no surprise really. I've been a big fan of theirs since thier debut in "Full House" almost two decades ago. It also helped that I had one of their books, a novelization of their video "Winning London", tucked over my pillow. (What that implies regarding dream research, I don't yet know. But it does make for an interesting theory.)
This is the third time I deamt about them. I dreamt about them separately the first time...Mary-Kate was in a movie (possibly referring to "Factory Girl") and Ashley was featured in an interior design magazine (This is more or less compatible with their real world interests). The second time I dreamt about them, they were yea high. Back then, my dream must have been tuned in to "The Adventures of Mary-Kate & Ashley" (which I haven't seen in real life) where they were dressed in grey construction suits with helmets and orange neon reflectors.
My third MK&A dream starts in the real world. A couple of months back, my brother and his wife had a spat and she's currently living in Pasig with their son. The dream starts with my brother and I at the corner of Escoda St. and Taft Avenue. I don't know what we were doing there...perhaps to talk to a lawyer or have some legal papers prepared. I can't say for sure.
As it happened, I was carrying drawings of Mary-Kate and Ashley with me then...possibly to have them photocopied. Besides being an amateur 3D CGI artist, I'm also an amateur portraitist. You can check my drawings over at Deviant Art. And yes, I do have my drawings photocopied so that I'd have back-up line drawings in case I mess up the rendering.
While looking through my drawings, the scene changed to that of what looked like Mary-Kate and Ashley rehearsing a dance number for an upcoming TV birthday special. In my dream, they looked to be 14 years old. In reality, they'll be turning 21 on June 13. The scene is similar to the dance number they did in a behind-the-scenes segment of the "So Litle Time" videos.
The scene then shifts back to Taft Avenue where, to my surprise, I found my drawing of Filipina-German actress Nadine Samonte beneath my Mary-Kate and Ashley drawing.

This morning I dreamt about Filipina actress Maja Salvador. I don't know if in my dream I'm supposed to be seeing her on TV or "in person" so I can't say much about that except that she seemed surprised about it as I am.

I don't remember much about my dream this morning...except that I was in an art class taking up a course in 3D animation (I've been doing a lot of 3D artwork lately). Our intructor was this old lady but as with my dream, I don't remember much about her. There was this nebulous quality to her...and I got this distinct feeling that she was dead.
This used to happen a lot as far as my dreams are concerned. I'd see people in my dreams...people with distinct features and yet people I know I've never seen before. And for some reason...they were dead...and angry.
The old lady in my dream reminds of Miss Edelson from the first "Men In Black" movie. Thankfully, she's nowhere near as nasty.

...I don't remeber much about my dream last night / this morning. I do remember the last part where I was at this dingy abandoned building that used to be a shopping mall. The presence of well-to-do people belie its "dingy, abandoned" status. And I get the feeling that this people may buy that building to either refurbish it or tear it down to make way for a new one.
In hindsight, those "well-to-do" people folks look like members of a religious congregation and it seems that they might turn the building into some sort of church. There's a religious group here in the Philippines who call themselves "Victory" and they've recently purchased the abandoned movie section of the Harrison Plaza mall and opened up a storefront church. They've done similar things in other malls and they've began popping up all over the place. All this on a Goood Friday...
That said, the abandoned building is also occupied by homeless people. In one area, there was a father who was chastising his adult son about forcing his wife to live in derelict conditions. The son shoots back and said that if he had the money, he'd buy his wife an apartment. I remember thinking that if I had a wife...and plenty of dough...I'd buy her a house instead. It was then that I dreamt within a dream (fantasize, actually) about having lunch in this huge veranda overlooking a garden that was as big as a golf course. For some reason, I do always fantasize about that.

Note: As I write this (April Fool’s Day 2K7), our Internet connection is down.
So anyway, I was watching Star Wars on TV. It was supposed to be Episode IV…but it sure don’ look like any Episode IV I’ve seen. (Boy are the other fan boys gonna be pissed!) Then again, maybe it’s either of the two upcoming Star Wars TV series. I’m not sure. (Wow! Two Star Wars TV series! What’ll they think of next?)
After the screening, my brother and I drove to this book repair shop…under the bridge. (“Sometimes I feel like…Anthony Keidis.” And on that note, I think I smell a pattern here.) The shop was supposed to be located around Plaza Dilao near the Knights of Columbus building. In reality, I don’t know of any book repair shop…or bridge near Plaza Dilao. As my brother and I were waiting for the books to be finished, we spy some sort of Star Wars exhibit (Don’t ask me what it’s doing inside the book repair shop. I don’t know either.) that consisted of a multiple TV display where every TV monitor was labeled in Aurabesh…except for a TV monitor displaying the picture of a bounty hunter whose name was “_____ Hoag” written in Latin alphabet. (I forgot his first name.)
Eventually, my brother got tired of waiting and went to the car to get his portable gaming console. But “portable” it may be, it kinda huge. It’s as big as my old sound View Master. I got bored myself and I went into the shop’s office to inquire about our books. Inside the office a lady staff member informed me that they weren’ ready yet and requested that I “never come back to the office again, thank you”. (“No, I don’t believe I’m familiar with the term ‘Vyatch’” – Greg Proops in Whose Line Is It, Anyway?)
