This blog entry is for all humans out there that were able to resist the mind-controlling powers of the...
...kidding! Anyway, this is the first "vivid" dream that I've had in a long time. It "began" when I went to the mall to buy some clothes. I won't embarrass myself further by saying what kind of clothes I was going to buy.
It was at the mall that I got word of planet Earth being invaded by aliens and that they have taken control of other people's minds. I vaguely remember the aliens being described as lizard men. At that point, I realized I wasn't going to be able to go home. So along with some other survivors, I hunkered down and hid inside the mall rest rooms biding our time until we can escape. We stayed there for about a week; what we lived on, I have no idea.
At one point, we were able to hatch a plan of how we might be able to fight the aliens. One of the other survivors was able to hijack a small truck that would allow us to carry out the plan. At the last moment, I was chosen to carry out the plan and it was decided that I take one of the survivors...a little boy...with me in case the others don't make it. So the truck arrived and we literally had to jump onto the flatbed out back before we were whisked away to freedom.
Along the way, we saw "zombie people"...people whose minds have been controlled by aliens. As a precaution, our driver drove the truck at cruising speed to avoid detection. The three of us even acted like "zombie people" in order to blend in.
Eventually, we got to Quiapo where the aliens' invasion plan became apparent. Zombie people were everywhere. Most of them converged at Quiapo Church where construction workers were altering the facade. Quickly, the little boy and I got out of the truck and went inside the church to carry out our plan. But it all went awry when the zombie people tried to attack us.
I took the little boy and tried to get him out of the church. As luck would have it, one of the windows was open and I was able to squeeze the little boy into it. I thought then that only way I could escape was to try and break the other windows. Luck was on my side once again as I was able to get a hold of a two-by-four. Upon using it, the aliens' mind-control seamed to weaken. I then yelled, "BREAK THE WINDOWS!!!"
Then I woke up. And after recalling the dream, I thought, thank goodness, I still have my freedom. Check out Cracked's take on the whole "Invasion of the Lizard Men from Outer Space" concept:
